Non-linguistic aims

At the end of the course pupils will be motivated to study English in their free time – they will listen to English songs and films with lyrics and practise on their own on www.projectonlinepractice.com. Pupils will be able to cooperate in pairs or in bigger groups. Pupils will be able to communicate their needs with the teacher or other pupils in English. Pupils will be able to speak in English to each other without embarrassment. Pupils will be able to tell basic facts about life in Britain.

Linguistic aims

At the end of the course pupils will be able to introduce themselves, provide information about their everyday activities. Pupils will be able to describe events in the past by using simple sentences. Pupils will be able to read and understand texts where most of the vocabulary is familiar to them. Pupils will be able to use and understand phrases and expressions useful for classroom communication. Pupils will be able to share their future plans. Pupils will be able to ask and answer simple questions concerning their person and they will be able to work with a dictionary.
