Making a practical guidebook

It proved me to use in lessons practical things and things that relate to a real life. Once pupils should have created a guidebook with actual data. Each of them chose a different capital city of European countries and their task was to plan holiday to that city. They were supposed to find the cheapest way how to get there, find appropriate accommodation, plan two days in detail including sightseeing tour and restaurants. Finally also count the real expenses spending for the holiday. All the information should be given on paper and later on exposed on the notice to inspire other students.

The british royal family

This is a worksheet used from www.busyteacher.com. There is pictured the royal family tree and under it there are some tasks connected with it. This activity does not require any factual knowledge which pupils appreciate. They just need to read carefully and think logically. In this way they gain the knowledge unconsciously.
