BOND TALK FEEDBACK – SCHOOL UNIFORMS

  1. How and why did I select the topic?

I have discussed this topic lately with my friends and colleagues. It has evocated various opinions.

  2. How and why did I select the language?

I adjusted the language according to the materials I studied before the bond talk. Mainly I went through official resources (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/School_uniform ; https://school-uniforms.procon.org/ )

  3. My topic and format of my talk was

  • Appropriate. Other students were easily able to contribute and express their opinions.

  1. The timing was

  • The talk was too long. The topic enabled to talk a lot about the topic and everybody wanted to tell something and that prolonged it a bit.

  1. Throughout the talk,

  • I maintained eye contact with all members of the group and encouraged everyone to participate. I also need eye contact for my own assurance that I proceed appropriately.

  1. During the talk, I maintained

  • I spoke too fast because I was really nervous.

  1. The group was:

  • active and friendly and willing to talk.

  1. In terms of new language

  • I was successful to mediate most of the expressions I intended to teach. I chose three way how to introduce new vocabulary. First in my speech, then in activity where were replaced usual words by new ones and then in putting the ideas in two groups (pros/con).

  1. Overall, my feelings from the presentation were

  • Positive. Even the reactions after it were positive.

  1. I was most successful in:

In preparation activities that encouraged the fluent conversation.

  2. Next time I need to think about:

My speed of speaking. I speeded up my speech pointlessly and sometimes it made my speech incomprehensible.

  3. The talk was

  • A quite useful experience because I read a lot of interesting materials and gained new information. I also practiced speaking in front of people which is always very difficult for me.

  1. Observing my colleagues doing their bond talks,

  • I found inspiring the following:

  • I myself would like to avoid:
